Mandze says she is having a blast. She mentioned that she is sad that she is getting transferred and leaving La Villa, but knows there are people in another area that God has prepared to receive the gospel that she will be lead to. She was sad to say good-bye to the families she grew close to, but she will get to fall in love with more people in her new area. She will update us with more about the new area as soon as she can.

PDAY!
CARE PACKAGE!!!!
Mandze got to say good-bye to some families before being transferred. I'm sure she was sad, but she looks so happy still because she has had the blessing of getting to know and fall in love with these families.
Mandze had a special visit from some close family friends Glen and Beatriz. She was so excited, especially because they delivered a care package to her.

Hermana Miranda is still in the same area in working with Hermana Martinez and Hermana Flores. She says she has beautiful experiences every day she is there. Unfortunately, not all of her experiences are good. She does experience some heartache when people reject the message of the gospel. Not only that, but she gets sad when people fall away from the gospel that once blessed their lives. She says she has been working with a brother that is completely inactive in the church. He has been a member for many years, but decided he doesn't believe any of it any more. Just when they thought that they would never see the brother again, they were prompted to ask if he has actually read the Book of Mormon. They were surprised to learn that in all his time as a member, he hadn't read it. They challenged him to begin reading and praying about it. They know that the spirit will bear witness of its divinity to him. Mandze says that anyone that is questioning the truthfulness of the gospel should accept that same challenge of reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. Once that step is taken, "Bam...conversion begins" (her own words).
Mandze also says that all the people she teaches the gospel to are beautiful and she learns so much from them. She mentioned that a boy named Marvin was baptized about 4 weeks ago. The week after, his sister decided to be baptized and asked if her brother Marvin could baptize her since he now held the Aaronic Priesthood. He did! Mandze says she loves the Gospel and that it is beautiful and it will change this family's life.

Mandze is currently serving in a three-some companionship. She stayed with Hermana Martinez and they were recently joined by Hermana Flores. She says that the three of them have a great relationship that just gets better and they are having a great time. The three of them are pictured below.
Hermana Miranda mentioned that during her time in the MTC, all the hermanas (mainly from the states) complimented her and told her how great her Spanish was. Little did they know that "It actually sucks" and she has a lot to learn. Mandze does her best to learn new words and perfect her accent so she can convey (with the help of the spirit 2 Nephi 33:1) the message of the gospel in the simplest, most effective way possible.
Brushing up on some spanish!

Hermana Miranda is having a great time at the MTC. She loves her teachers, and has made so many great friends. She loves her classes and the strong presence of the Holy Ghost. But she is always so busy, she isn't able to spend much time writing letters or sending e-mails. Be patient, she'll write to us when she can!
March 12, 2013- The first day of Full Time Missionary Service
Mandze departed from her missionary training. She flew first to California where she spent some time with our mother. From there, she flew to the Missionary Training Center in Guatemala. We saw her off at the airport. Below you'll see Kyden waving goodbye. We miss Manny, but we know she is doing important and amazing work. Keep her in your prayers.
